Solar is easy. Financing it intelligently is the hard part. See which solar financing pathways may fit your home, energy needs and financial situation.
What we evaluate
Six things that decide whether home solar is a good fit
Electric usage
Twelve months of kilowatt-hours, including how your usage swings between summer cooling and winter. This sets the size of the system.
Roof characteristics
Orientation, pitch, material, structural condition and remaining service life, plus real shade measurement rather than a satellite estimate.
Utility rates
Which utility serves your address and which rate schedule you are on. Time-of-use pricing changes both system size and whether storage is worth adding.
Financing
Cash, loan, $0-down structures for qualified customers, or a PPA. The structure often moves total cost more than the equipment choice does.
Battery needs
Outage history, evening usage, well or medical equipment. If backup matters, we map essential circuits before sizing anything.
Future electricity needs
An EV, a heat pump, a pool or an addition in the next few years should be designed for now, not retrofitted later at higher cost.
Straight talk
When we tell homeowners not to buy solar
Very low annual usage, heavy permanent shading, or a roof near the end of its life with no replacement budgeted are all reasons to wait. So is a plan to sell within a couple of years, depending on the structure you would be signing.
Nobody can guarantee savings. Production varies with weather, shading and equipment, and utility rates change over time. What we can give you is a transparent model with its assumptions visible, so you can judge it yourself.
Solar production, bill offset and payment comparisons vary by home, usage, roof, shading, utility rate schedule and financing terms. Nothing on this site is a guarantee of savings.

Twelve months of usage and ten minutes on the phone is usually enough to tell you whether this is worth pursuing.
