Solar Repair and System Diagnostics
If production dropped, monitoring went dark or your bill jumped back up, something is wrong and it is usually findable. We repair systems we did not install.
What we fix
Common problems on existing systems
Most service calls come down to one of these.
System not producing
Zero or near-zero output. Usually a tripped breaker, a failed inverter, or a communication fault masking real production.
Inverter failure
String inverters and microinverters both fail eventually. We identify the unit, check warranty status and handle replacement.
Monitoring offline
A dead app is not always a dead system, but it hides real faults. We restore visibility so problems surface early.
Wiring and connection faults
Rodent damage, degraded connectors and conduit issues cause intermittent losses that look like weather at first.
Storm and weather damage
Wind, hail and falling limbs damage modules, racking and flashing. We inspect and document for insurance where relevant.
Aging equipment
Systems from the early 2010s are reaching end of inverter life. Sometimes repair is right; sometimes replacement is the honest answer.
Orphaned systems
Original installer out of business? We take on those systems and work through remaining manufacturer warranty coverage where it applies.
Roof work and re-roofs
Panel removal and reinstall coordinated around your roofer's schedule, with proper flashing on the way back on.
Process
How a repair visit works
- 1
Describe the symptom
Tell us what changed and when. Send a monitoring screenshot or a recent bill if you have one — it often narrows the cause before we arrive.
- 2
On-site diagnostic
We test the array, inverter, connections and electrical to find the actual fault rather than guessing at a part.
- 3
Findings and options
You get what is wrong, what it takes to fix it, whether any warranty applies, and what repair versus replacement costs.
- 4
Repair and verification
We complete the work and confirm the system is producing and reporting correctly before we leave.
Where equipment is still under a manufacturer warranty, we help pursue that coverage. Warranty outcomes depend on the manufacturer's terms and the status of the original registration, which we verify rather than assume.
Service request
Tell us what your system is doing
Include the symptom and roughly when it started in the notes and we will come prepared.
